Why is DT Epoxy better than normal wood filler?

DT Epoxy creates a structural repair that binds to the wood like a structural glue; not just a filler or bog. Ordinary fillers only cover the surface, and often crack or shrink in the weather, or as the building fabric expands and shrinks with the seasons.

Can I use it on exterior timber?

Yes. DT Epoxy is weather resistant and designed for Australian conditions. It’s suitable for indoors or outdoor finishes and it’s great for wooden doors, windows, frames and outdoor trim.

Do I need special tools to apply the wood repair epoxy?

No. You only need basic tools like a scraper, sandpaper and a mixing stick. But if you're using our duel tube epoxy, you'll need one of our dual tube cartridge guns. All of this comes in our starter kits or master bundles. Plus, Everything is simple for Do It Yourself (DIY) use by the home renovator or professional carpenter

How long does the repair last?

When applied correctly, the repair is long lasting and durable. It bonds deeply into the timber like a glue and moves & flexes with it over time. In the 15+ years we've been selling and installing this product, we've never had 1 recall issue.

Can I paint over the finished repair?

Yes. DT Epoxy cures in around 1 - 4 hours (where other products can take days to cure). Once cured and sanded, the surface is ready for paint (or stain) to suit your existing decor.
