Who we are

The pro products, finally in your hands.

Sellaseal is the trading arm of Sealasash — the team that restores and seals Australia's original timber windows every working day. Sealasash does the installs; Sellaseal exists so that everyone, everywhere in Australia, can buy the exact seals, beads, cords and hardware those carpenters trust on the job.

No watered-down consumer versions. No mystery hardware-store strips. The same professional-grade system, boxed with step-by-step instructions and delivered to your door.

Our story

Perfected one sash at a time.

Sealasash began in 2011, built on decades of combined sealing solutions across our directors — and the craft was learned in real Australian homes: federation terraces, Victorian cottages and grand old weatherboards, many with windows that hadn't closed or opened properly in decades.

Across 25,000+ window installations — including extremely heritage-sensitive buildings, where there's zero margin for damaging original fabric — our carpenters met every problem a hundred-year-old sash can throw at you, and tested every seal, bead, brush and cord on the market. Only what lasts made the cut. Our motto says it plainly: no seals, no deal.

Sellaseal was created to share exactly that — the products that survived 25,000 installs — with every home in Australia, whether or not a Sealasash carpenter can get to you.

The problem · double-hung windows

Your window isn't cold because of the glass.

It's cold — and noisy — because air leaks around the pane, through the operating gaps that let the sashes slide. These are the four points that matter.

Where we seal a double-hung — the Sealasash core service.
01 · Sides

Where the sashes slide

Discreet twin-fin brush seals so the sash still glides, but the air gap all but vanishes.

02 · Parting bead

The channel between sashes

The run the sashes travel in — a constant source of cold air movement when it leaks.

03 · Meeting rails

The join in the middle

One of the biggest leak points for both air and noise — and the source of that whistle.

04 · Staff beads

The room-side perimeter

Seals the inside edge and kills the rattle when a truck rolls past.

The quiet truth

Seal the gaps, and your glass can finally work.

Most people jump straight to glass. But in a double-hung, much of the noise and cold comes around the pane through the operating gaps — acoustically, they're open doorways. In lab conditions, the twin-fin brush system alone accounts for roughly a 6–10 decibel acoustic improvement (real-world results vary with window and fit). Seal first, and any glass — single, double or vacuum — can finally do its job.

What we've perfected

Three things, done properly, on every window.

Step 01 · Function

Make it work

Re-cord and free the sashes so the window opens, closes and seats the way it should. A seal on a window that won't move is wasted.

Step 02 · Seal

Close the leak paths

Fit brush seals, beads and a meeting-rail track to the exact points air and noise bypass — working with the sliding sash, never against it.

Step 03 · Discretion

Leave no trace

The seals become built into the working window. From the room it still reads as a traditional timber sash — just warmer and quiet.
