Round extruded lead weights for double hung sash windows, drilled through the centre so they thread onto the cord the traditional way. Sold in 0.25kg, 0.5kg and 1kg lots that stack together in the pocket, so any target weight can be made up in 0.25kg steps without cutting.
Lead is nearly twice as dense as cast iron, so it fits the same weight into roughly half the length. That is what makes it the material for reglazes to heavier glass, where the pocket cannot fit a longer iron weight. It does not rust.

⚠ Safe handling of lead
Lead is toxic if swallowed, and lead dust is harmful to breathe in. Handled sensibly it is safe to work with:
- Wear gloves when handling the weights.
- Wash your hands after fitting, and always before eating, drinking or smoking.
- Never cut, grind, sand or melt lead. That is what creates dust and fumes. You never need to: order lead weights to your figures and the lots stack to the total.
- Keep the weights away from children and pets. Once fitted they sit sealed inside the box frame, out of reach.
Threading the stacked lots onto the cord needs no tools.
Shipping: road freight only. Lead is outside express satchel limits. Transit takes a few days longer than our standard parcels, and a whole window's set travels on one consignment.
