Vacuum Glass Factory Seconds
Panasonic Glavenir panes left over from R&D work, cancelled jobs and sample testing. The same glass we supply new, sold at $250 per square metre because we need the racking space. 104 panes, and when a size is gone it is gone.
Read this before you buy
- Sizes are fixed. Every pane is already cut and vacuum glass cannot be trimmed down. Buy a size that suits your opening, or design the opening around the pane.
- Pickup only, at the location shown above the row. We will contact you after your order to arrange a collection time and confirm the address. Nothing on this page is posted or freighted.
- Thermal or Super Clear, and you do not get to pick. Stock is a mix of both 6.1 mm annealed types. Specify your job at a U-value of 0.9 or better and you are covered either way.
- No Panasonic warranty. Seconds sit outside the standard 10 year warranty that new Glavenir carries.
- Sold as is, where is. Final sale, no change of mind returns. Inspect the pane at pickup before you load it.
None of this affects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Why these panes exist
They were ordered in for research and development projects, for jobs that were later cancelled, and for sample testing. They are surplus rather than rejects, but they have been handled, stored and moved between sites, so we sell them as seconds and price them accordingly.
What you see here is the actual stock. Every pane in the tables below is sitting on a trolley waiting for someone to give it a window.

Seconds are the same Panasonic Glavenir product as our new stock, so the data sheets apply. Installation to AS 1288 by a qualified glazier is required.
